STAUFF SF series High Pressure Filters are designed for in-line hydraulic applications, with a maximum operating pressure of 420 bar / 6000 PSI. suitable for both suction-line and return-line applications, these aluminium filter heads pair with a wide selection of spin-on elements to deliver reliable, cost-effective filtration across industrial and mobile hydraulic systems.

Available in single and double-head configurations, with in-line and tank-top mounting options, the SF range covers flow rates up to 454 l/min — making it easy to spec the right filter for any circuit.

Filter Head Series — Key Differences

SLF (SLF-02 / 03 / 04) — Compact In-Line Head, Low Flow The SLF is STAUFF's smallest spin-on filter head, designed for compact suction-line or return-line installations where space and flow demand are modest. It accepts NPT or SAE port connections, uses a 3/4-16 UNF spigot, and handles up to 26 l/min return-line flow. No bypass valve option — intended for lower-risk, low-pressure circuits. Compatible with SF-63 series filter elements.

SAF (SAF-05 / 06 / 07 / 10 / 11 / 13) — Mid-Range In-Line Head with Optional Bypass The SAF series steps up in port size and flow capacity (57–128 l/min return-line), with NPT or SAE O-ring thread port options. A key differentiator is the optional integrated bypass valve (available at 0.2, 0.35, 1.0, or 1.7 bar settings), which protects the circuit if the element becomes blocked. Clogging indicator ports can be configured for return-line, suction-line, or both. Compatible with SF-65 series filter elements (seal contour Type A).

SSF (SSF-12 through SSF-180 / SSF-24 / SSF-25 series) — High-Flow In-Line Head, BSP/NPT/SAE The SSF range is STAUFF's highest-flow single and double spin-on filter head series, spanning 90–454 l/min. Single heads (SSF-12 through SSF-180) use BSP, NPT, or SAE port connections; double heads (SSF-24/25 series) extend capacity further with dual-element bodies accommodating up to 454 l/min. Most SSF heads feature a dual spigot arrangement (G1-1/4 and 1-1/2-16 UN) for compatibility with both SFC-57/58 and SF-67 filter elements. The SSF-150/180 variants run at up to 14 bar / 200 PSI — notably higher than the rest of the SSF range. Optional bypass valve and clogging indicator ports are available across the series.

SSFT (SSFT-12B / 12 / 20B / 20) — Tank Top Mounting The SSFT series shares the same element compatibility as the SSF range but is designed for direct tank-top mounting rather than in-line installation. Rated to 7 bar / 100 PSI, these heads suit return-line applications where mounting above the reservoir is preferred. Available in small (75 l/min) and mid-range (200 l/min) flow variants with BSP or NPT port connections.
