Technical Data
Rexroth A2FM Motor
Axial piston fixed motors convert hydrostatic energy into mechanical energy.
The output torque increases with the pressure difference between the high and low-pressure. The output speed is proportional to the inlet flow and inversely proportional to the displacement of the hydraulic motor. Featuring a sophisticated 40° bent-axis design with tapered pistons, the A2FM delivers exceptional torque and high rotational speeds for both open and closed circuits. Whether you are powering a winch, a crane drive, or a heavy-duty propulsion system, the A2FM is engineered for longevity in the most punishing environments.
- Superior Efficiency: The tapered piston and 40° bent-axis technology provide higher mechanical and volumetric efficiency than standard swashplate motors.
- Extreme Pressure Range: Built to handle a nominal pressure of 400 bar and peak pressures up to 500 bar.
- Excellent Starting Torque: High "break-away" torque makes it the ideal choice for load-starting applications like winches and conveyors.
- High Power Density: Large power output from a surprisingly compact and lightweight housing.
- Simple & Robust: As a fixed displacement motor, the A2FM has fewer moving parts and no control valves, resulting in a significantly lower maintenance requirement.
Note - the A2FMT series 70 is specifically designed as a drum drive for concrete mixer trucks in closed circuits.
